Duderstadt

Hausing design in a old and beautiful structure. Duderstadt, a little town located next to Göttingen – Germany, has an old Theater whos ownner wants to remodel and turn it into appartments. As soon as this project arrived at Arch. Ulrich Schmitz´s office, we started taking measures and pictures. Many ideas have been discussed in this space, the first one was to turn it into departments for young people. There is a global housing shortage and Germany is no exception. The design responded to the actual needs and the importance of combining functional spaces with open areas. The design was modulated for better results and although the target group has now changed, designing it was an interesting challenge.
